[Grml] grml on usb stick: can not get partition to start at cylinder 1

Cylinder 1 should start at sector 63. Cylinder 0 is sectors 0 to 62. This
is standard msdos disk partitioning. So if you compare the partition
editor commands

# parted /dev/sda unit s print
and
# parted /dev/sda unit cyl print

perhaps you can see where you are.

I've never made a grml2usb as on my old system the bios will not boot from
the usb but I hope this is some help.

Moss
