Ok thanks. I gave memdisk boot a short test via:<br>

apt-get install grub-imageboot<br>
mkdir /boot/images<br>
cd /boot/images<br>
wget <a href="http://download.grml.org/grml64-small_2014.11.iso" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">http://download.grml.org/grml64-small_2014.11.iso</a><br>
update-grub<br>
reboot<br>

and this hangs in an endless loop as well. Adding debug=1 boot<br>
option shows that it's failing to detect the filesystem, so<br>
something indeed seems to be fishy with recent versions of<br>
live-boot. :(<br>

I've reported this as <a href="http://bts.grml.org/grml/issue2165" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">http://bts.grml.org/grml/issue2165</a> in our BTS.<br>
