Just a noob question, for no reason other than neugier.<BR>

Why does debian installer, lenny, recognise both the sata and atapi cd thing, giving the correct response to cat /proc/scsi/scsi, whereas grml requires bootparameters ide1=noprobe and ide0=noprobe to get sata hdd and atapi(sata) sdr0 recognised?<BR>
