[Grml] My first post

I have recently subscribed to this list for several reasons:

I need to run fsck on a computer that has issues, I need to unmount
active partition, so I need to run it from a CD, however I changed boot
order and computer will not boot from netinst, but it will boot from a
very old GRML cd.

Now, I downloaded latest version and will burn a CD with K3b, but I also
would need to download to USB stick.

Here come the questions: should I format this CD to exfat prior to
usingĀ  command posted in website?

In which directory should I position the terminal? Download directory?

Should I become root or use sudo?

Thanks in advance for all the help.

Best regards,
