"dpkg --purge etckeeper" was the goal to solve the Problem!
Ok but what can I do if I still would like to use etckeeper. As far as I
know I can save different States from etc files to downgrading to the old
Version when i get an error in a configuration. Do I have the files manually
backup? automatic backup of course, would also be a nice tool to have.

regards
Björn
