[Grml] "speakwith" script

Hi people,

I think I just sent a private message which ought to have gone to the
list.

I have been using a script called "speakwith" which takes as an argument
a synth name as defined by speakup, including none, sftsyn, and all the
HW synth names. It assumes speech-dispatcher has already been run, but
that could easily be modified if anyone wants to do that. I place it in
/usr/local/sbin so that it must be run as root. It works great for me,
and might be useful as an add-on to grml. The script is available from:

http://www.mhcable.com/~chuckh/speakwith

It is pretty well documented. Oh yes, I should mention that at the end
of the script it invokes "speakupconf load" to restore synth settings
Thant have been saved with that utility, available in the speakup source
directory somewhere.

Enjoy.

And Mika, thanks for a great product. It has saved my ass a couple of
times here (or "neck" if you prefer)

Regards,
Chuck
