Das betrifft nur den Framebuffer und nicht X.

Aja, Radeon zur Abwechslung wieder einmal. ;)

Versuch mal:

% grml-x -module vesa fluxbox

bzw. aktiviere einmal manuell in der /etc/X11/xorg.conf die Zeile:

  Option "MonitorLayout" "LVDS, AUTO"

und probier es dann mit 'grml-x fluxbox' noch einmal.
