[issue1280] X not working under VMware ESXi 5.5

Just found msg4643 via Google. 

grml 2013.09 full (64- and 32-bit) still hang at the message "Waiting for /dev/
to be fully populated". Vspshere 5.1, VMware virtual hardware v9 (vmx-09).
Booting with noudev works.

Why is this bug resolved?
