New submission from debdog <agrikola at gmx.de>:

Hi guys,

this is rather an idea than a wish and I am just saying, in case you are
interested. While playing with a fresh installation of grml32 2011.12 I've
noticed, that all the recognised drives and partitions are listed in /mnt.

If you'd like your system to apply to the Filesystem Hierarchy Standard (FHS)[1]
version 2.3[2], this is not correct: "Although the use of subdirectories in /mnt
as a mount point has recently been common, it conflicts with a much older
tradition of using /mnt directly as a temporary mount point."[3]

A possible location would be in /media[3] which purpose it is to hold removable
media. Removable from the system's point of view; anything that can be
removed/unmounted without causing any interference to the running system.

Thanks for listening :-)
