Ok, further looked into this issue and I think I found a solution for this 
issue. Can you please give the following ISO a shot:

  http://amd64.grml.org/grml-med-sid_2010.03.23.iso
  http://amd64.grml.org/grml-med-sid_2010.03.23.iso.md5

Works with isofrom and findiso both with toram=... fine for me (please don't 
forget specifying ignore_bootid), so it could even fix issue http://
bts.grml.org/grml/issue828 for you.
