Please package cobbler/koan as known from Fedora/RedHat. This will allow
bootstrapping differents breeds of OS via PXE/kickstart.

cobbler is a PXE installation environment like FAI, but far more advanced.

koan is "kickstart over a network", ie. if you cannot PXEboot, you can still
kickstart a machine from an existing installation. It modifies grub and then
starts anaconda after booting.
