Do you have something like "Device config" in your BIOS settings?
Is it set to "Setup by OS" or to "All Devices"? If so could you please try
switching that? (Please do a cold boot, not a normal reboot then.)

Does booting using 'failsafe' or 'grml pnpacpi=off' or 'grml
pnpbios=off' change anything?
