Current Debian/unstable has a serious problem in the boot chain:

The "mount: you must specify the filesystem type" doesn't prevent current daily
builds of grml from booting but /dev isn't fully featured. The problem is the
lack of support for "mount -n -o move ..." in util-linux without specifying the
filesystem (-t $FS), but util-linux lacks support for moving a tmpfs ->
dependency hell. I'm in contact with maks (maintainer of initramfs-tools).
